This powerful solution, consisting of POF+ active dry brewer’s yeast and enzymes, is specifically designed for producing high-gravity and high-alcohol beers such as strong ales, barley wines, and barrel-aged beers with very high density. SafBrew™ HA-18 boasts excellent resistance to osmotic pressure and high fermentation temperatures (thermotolerant yeast).

Sensory Profile:

With SafBrew™ HA-18, you will experience a wide range of flavors in the final beer, thanks to the high ester release. This mix also produces phenols, potentially giving the beverage a clove or spicy flavor.

Dosage / Temperature:

Dosage: 100 to 160 g/hl ideally at 25°C – 35°C (77.0°F – 95.0°F).

Usage:

Direct Pitching:
- Directly pitch into the fermenter at a fermentation temperature of 25°C – 35 °C (77.0°F – 95.0°F).
With Prior Rehydration:
- Rehydrate the yeast in 10 times its volume of water or wort at 25°C – 37 °C (77.0°F – 98.6°F).
- Leave to rest for 15 minutes.
- Gently stir.
- Pitch into the fermenter.
