Wyeast 1010 - American Wheat - Activator

A strong fermenting, true top cropping yeast that produces a dry, slightly tart, crisp beer. Ideal for beers where low ester profile is desirable.

Flocculation: Low
Attenuation: 74-78%
Temperature Range: 58-74° F (14-23° C)
ABV: 10 %

During transport, the yeast package may swell due to a residual amount of nutrient solution, as the yeast ferments to a small extent and produces Co2.
The swelling of the package is NOT a sign of spoilage, but may occur due to production, provided the yeast has not yet exceeded the best before date.
Some yeast strains are more susceptible to this than others.
