Oechs spindle 0 - 130 °Oe - without thermometer
Whether sweet, non-fermenting grape, fruit and fruit juices or mash filtrates, determine ther specific weight of sugar solutions yourself!
Simply put the Oechsle spindle in the liquid to be measured (at a temperature about 20°C) embedded in a measuring or stand cylinder. The measured value can be easily read from the scale of the spindle at the point of intersection of the liquid.
Correction at temperature deviation of 20 °C:
The measurement with the Oechsle spindle should be take place at 20°C. If this is not the case, a correction must be made. The temperature above 20°C is added, the temperature subtracted below 20°C accordingly.
For 4°C deviation 1°Oechsle have to be added or subtracted.
