Angel WA18 top-fermenting dry yeast - 500 g
Angel WA18 is an excellent top-fermenting dry yeast. It is very suitable for the most common types of wheat beer styles and German wheat beer. WA18 brings a typical banana taste and slightly spicy aromas with it. It is a natural, non-GMO strain that is widely used in craft breweries.
Vigorous fermentation, high degree of final fermentation and medium to high flocculation. Fast start of fermentation, which can be finished in 4 days at 18 °C.
Rehydrate the yeast in a disinfected container with 5 to 10 times the weight of boiled water or diluted wort (2: 1 water to wort) at 22 - 30 °C. Stir gently for 5 minutes to completely suspend the yeast and let sit for 10 - 20 minutes. Adjust the temperature by adding word (if the temperature difference is greater than 10 °C). Mix yeast and word. The entire process should be limited to 30 minutes to reduce the risk of contamination. It is not necessary to aerate the word for the yeast to actively grow.
Apparent final degree of fermentation: 80 - 91 %
Flocculation: medium to high
Fermentation temperature: 15 - 25 °C, ideally 18 - 22 °C.
Alcohol tolerance: 10 %
