Malt Mix 'Theresien Ur-Märzen' - uncrushed

In early times, lager beers were brewed only in winter or at the beginning of spring. Since there were no cooling systems yet, the lager was brewed until the end of March, hence the name 'Märzen'.
We have created this set according to Hubert Hanghofer's recipe from the book "Bier brauen nach eigenem Geschmack" (Art.: L-1000). (here you will also find the exact quantities).
You get a home-brewed beer that is more malty due to the malt fill and only in the finish then the hop flavor comes to bear which is long-lasting.

Color: 22 EBC
Original gravity: 14 °P
Alcohol content: 5.8 %
Bitterness: 22 IBU
Fermentation: bottom fermented
Mash Water: 12 liters
Sparge Water:16 liters

Pilsner malt, Vienna malt, Munich malt, light caramel malt.
