TILT Repeater The repeater was developed for stainless steel containers and extends the range of your hydrometer. Continuous automatic logging is thus maintained even if your phone, tablet or Raspberry is further away from the fermenter. It is waterproof and can only be connected to one Tilt at a time. The repeater also updates at least every 2 minutes. The battery life is approx. 6 months and can be recharged. The repeater can be placed in a refrigerator together with a barrel or fermenter to transmit the signal to phones, tablets and Raspberry Pi logging solutions. The instructions for use are as follows: Unscrew the caps at each end of the plastic housing. Carefully push out the electronics assembly. Repeatedly press the button on the battery holder to select the desired color of the TILT. For example, press the button once to connect a red Tilt or twice to connect a green Tilt. To switch off the repeater, repeatedly press the button until the LED flashes red. Confirm the selected color by opening the Tilt app and checking that the selected color shows an initial specific gravity of 0.000 and a temperature of 0°F (-17.8°C). Once the repeater is connected (indicated by periodic green LED flashing), it will show the actual repeated values. Replace the assembly in the tube and screw the caps back on. Position the repeater as close as possible to the Tilt hydrometer (but still outside the fermenter) and check that the green LED is flashing, indicating a connection.
