Angel BF16 bottom-fermenting dry yeast - 500 g

Angel LAGER-BF16 is an excellent lager yeast for bottom-fermented beers, which is used to make lager beers of the highest quality. When handled properly, it has a slight scent of malt and an exquisite aroma. It is a natural, non-GMO strain that is widely used in craft breweries.

Brewing properties
Vigorous fermentation, high degree of final fermentation and high flocculation. Fast fermentation start.

Application
Rehydrate the yeast in a disinfected container with 5 to 10 times the weight of boiled water or diluted wort (2 : 1 water to wort) at 22 - 30 °C. Stir gently for 5 minutes to completely suspend the yeast and let sit for 10-20 minutes. Adjust the temperature by adding wort (if the temperature difference is greater than 10 °C). Mix yeast and wort. The entire process should be limited to 30 minutes to reduce the risk of contamination. It is not necessary to aerate the wort for the yeast to actively grow.

Apparent final degree of fermentation: 80 - 91 %
Flocculation: high
Fermentation temperature: 10-20 °C, ideally 10-15 °C.
Alcohol tolerance: 10 %

Dosage
80 to 150 g / hl, increase of the dosage to 150 to 300 g / hl under special fermentation conditions
